Estuary TV

Channel 7 was launched in 1997, as the first local TV channel to broadcast in the UK. They were also the first to launch on FreeView in the country. Previously based at Immage studios in Immingham, Lincolnshire, they moved to the Nuns Corner campus of the Grimsby Institute where they then rebranded themselves as Estuary TV in 2013. Estuary TV offer local news & weather, local sports discussion shows a current affairs show and and an entertainment show in the forms of: On The Bench, On The Bench: Extra, Hot Topic and That Friday Show. The channel covers East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire with the range from Market Rasen to Driffield and covering the areas of Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Immingham, Hull, Scunthorpe and surrounding areas. Their station reaches 370,000+ homes within their broadcast area (Estuary, 2014), and will expand into the Yorkshire Coast upon receiving the Scarborough broadcasting licence. (Sweney, 2014)
